1. Who we are

The Service is provided by Appixio Inc., a company based in Canada. AppeneriX is a no-code platform that turns spreadsheets, PowerApps exports, and plain-language requirements into multi-user business apps. For privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — such as your name, email address, and organization details when you create an account.
  • Files and content you upload — including Excel workbooks, PowerApps exports, and other data you use to build or run an app.
  • Communications — messages you send to support or feedback you submit.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and actions taken in the Service.
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Cookies and analytics.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including building and running your apps.
  • To process the files you upload so we can generate the corresponding app structure.
  • To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms (including bot protection).
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
  • To analyze usage so we can improve the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Your content and the apps you build

Content you upload or create (your “Content”) lives in your own workspace. You control who in your organization can access it through per-person permissions, and the Service keeps a history of changes. We do not sell your Content, and we do not use the private data inside your apps to train AI models for other customers.

Public preview tools (for example, the Excel and PowerApps preview pages) let you upload a file without an account to see a detected app structure. Files submitted through these tools are processed to generate the preview and handled under this policy.

5. Privacy laws and legal bases

As a Canadian company, we handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, including Quebec’s Law 25 where it applies. We collect, use, and disclose personal information for the purposes described in this policy and, where required, with your consent (which you may withdraw subject to legal or contractual limits).

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), consent (where required, such as certain cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service, including with service providers (“sub-processors”) who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. These currently include:

  • Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and bot protection (Turnstile).
  • Google — analytics and advertising measurement (Google Analytics and Google Ads).
  • YouTube (Google) — video content embedded on our site.

We may also disclose information to comply with law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as language), measure traffic, and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand usage and measure marketing.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion as described below.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including access controls, isolation of customer workspaces, and change history. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. You may also opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails.

If you are in Canada and have a concern we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (and, for Quebec residents, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec).

11. International transfers

We are based in Canada and may process and store information in Canada and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. When personal information is handled outside your country, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by their courts and authorities. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as contractual protections) for international transfers.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

14. Contact us
